Past Runs
The Great Anzac Run
In April-May 2008 our runners participated in “The Great Anzac run”, a 4,500km run from the shores of Gallipoli all the way through to Hyde Park, London. The run made its way through Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, and Belgium and finally into London.
The purpose of this run was twofold, firstly to raise awareness to the plight of the Allied Forces in both WW1 and WW2 and secondly to raise much needed funds for the burns unit at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.
Run For a Safe Climate
In November 2009, our runners participated in the “Run for a safe climate” initiative running 6021km from Cooktown to Melbourne (via Adelaide) raising awareness of the impacts of climate change on our country, community and day to day duties. The 25 runners who took up this super marathon where directly involved in fighting the Black Saturday bush fires here in Victoria.
